The Building Department has the jurisdiction authorized to administer the State of Oregon’s construction codes, our concern is your safety in the built environment. We partner with contractors, homeowners, and developers to assist in their compliance and understanding of the Building, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing codes adopted in Oregon. Those codes are:

• State of Oregon Energy Efficiency Specialty Code
• State of Oregon Fire Code
• State of Oregon Manufactured Dwelling Installation Specialty Code
• State of Oregon Mechanical Specialty Code
• State of Oregon Plumbing Specialty Code
• State of Oregon Residential Specialty Code
• State of Oregon Solar Installation Specialty Code
• State of Oregon Structural Specialty Code

Duties
The City of Eagle Point processes building, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and manufactured dwelling permit applications. We perform plan review, prepare necessary permits, and perform all applicable on-site inspections necessary to assist in safeguarding the health and safety of the citizens of Eagle Point.

Goal
We pledge to provide friendly, timely, knowledgeable, and cooperative service in the administration of the construction codes in effect within the State of Oregon.
