The City of Eagle Point is located 10 miles northeast of Interstate 5 and six miles northeast of Medford, Oregon along State Highway 62. Eagle Point is the "Gateway to the Lakes" in Jackson County, sitting at the junction of State Highway 140 to Klamath Falls there are the Lake of the Woods, Fish Lake, Four Mile Lake, and Klamath Lake and by State Highway 62 there are Crater Lake, Lost Creek Reservoir, and Diamond Lake.

City Growth
The city has been one of the fastest growing cities in Oregon. During the building boom of 2000 to 2007 it doubled the population of the community to its present 8,469 population count (recorded in the 2010 Census). The community is scheduled to continue to be a primary growth area in the upper portion of Jackson County as set forth in the Greater Bear Creek Valley Regional Problem Solving Plan.

Climate
Eagle Point is a relaxing and fun place to visit and live, with an average winter temperature of 30–40 degrees Fahrenheit to a summer temperature of 85-95 degrees Fahrenheit. Average rainfall is only 18.850 inches.
